The Challenge
As a new startup in the interior design space, Cheery Nest needed an identity that stood out in the crowded NCR market and communicated their core values of creating happy, bespoke spaces.
Market Insights
NCR’s interior design market is competitive, often favoring sterile ‘modern’ brands. We tapped into the psychology of ‘Home as a Sanctuary’. The ‘Aha!’ moment was realizing the name should evoke the feeling of comfort and the joy of coming home.
The Strategic Solution
The strategy focused on naming and visual storytelling. The name ‘Cheery Nest’ was chosen to represent homes, happiness, and warmth.
Design & Execution
The logo features a bird sitting in a curve (representing a smile) with a roof overhead (representing a home/nest). A hidden gem: the bird’s body replicates a laughing child. We also developed a Brand Style Guide and corporate stationery.
The Results
Qualitative: Stakeholders lauded the ‘hidden’ child element in the logo, which created a strong emotional connection. Quantitative: Successfully launched the brand with consistent visibility across business cards and letterheads, aiding early client acquisition.
