The Challenge

Prian EMobility, a Pune-based startup and a vertical of Prian Energy, was launching a new series of EV Chargers for 2 and 4 wheelers. The primary challenge was to effectively showcase their technical product line to three distinct segments simultaneously: EV OEMs (for strategic partnerships), Distributors (for supply chain expansion), and B2C customers (for home charging awareness). Additionally, the brand needed to communicate the lucrative ‘Dealer and Franchisee’ business opportunities to potential entrepreneurs in the emerging green-energy sector.

Market Insights

India’s electric vehicle charging market is undergoing a massive transformation, with the number of public chargers growing from 1,800 in 2022 to over 29,000 by 2025. The market is projected to reach USD 10.6 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of over 31%. Research indicated that while B2C customers are interested, ‘range anxiety’ and lack of educational resources remain barriers. For B2B players, the opportunity lies in the need for 1.32 million charging stations by 2030, requiring a massive push in dealer-led installations.

The Strategic Solution

Dolphin Branding proposed a multi-layered strategy focused on ‘Visual Authority and Education’:

  • One-on-One Presentations: Tailored for high-level meetings with EV OEMs and large-scale distributors.
  • Launch Collaterals: High-impact brochures and posters for the EV Exhibition to capture immediate interest.
  • Educational Social Media: A B2C-focused campaign to demystify EV charging (e.g., ‘AC vs DC charging’) and build trust.
  • Entrepreneurial Outreach: Dedicated communication highlighting business opportunities for dealers and franchisees.
Design & Execution

Photography & Visual Language: We undertook on-site photography of both products and installations to provide photorealistic visuals for all marketing materials. The design emphasis was on visual communication, using as few words as possible to convey the sophistication and reliability of the hardware.

Product Showcasing: The campaign showcased a wide range of products including AC EV Chargers (3.3kW to 22kW). Each product’s USP—such as zero carbon footprint and electricity cost savings—was integrated into the brochure and poster designs.

Touchpoints: Digital content focused on guides (e.g., ‘How to plan a long journey with EVs’) to position Prian as an industry thought leader. Print materials for the exhibition stall were designed to stand out in a crowded hall, using clean layouts and technical precision.

The Results

Qualitative: The brand successfully established itself as a premium manufacturer in the EV charging space. The exhibition launch generated significant B2B inquiries for dealer and franchisee models.

Quantitative: (Based on market performance) Prian EMobility joined the ranks of key players in the rapidly growing Indian charging network, contributing to the five-fold increase in operational stations since 2022.
